The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Eng. Tariq Al-Mulla, said that the results of the tests conducted on the detection of "Basharoush" for natural gas in the North Al-Hammad concession area in the Nile Delta, which was announced earlier this month, resulted in an initial production rate estimated at 32 million cubic feet Daily of natural gas.
In a statement issued today by the Ministry, Al-Mulla added that the Italian company "Eni", which operates for the concession area and its British "BP" partners and "Total" French, in coordination with the Egyptian Holding Company for Natural Gases "EGAS" are the companies entrusted with preparing a detection development plan to accelerate its position on Production map, by utilizing the available infrastructure and production facilities in the region.
The statement pointed out that the total production of the concession area southwest of Maliha, in Western Sahara, in which the Italian company "Eni" operates to 12 thousand barrels per day of crude oil after one year of production in 2019, after the success of drilling the new well "SWM-A- 6X ”in the Fagor Basin area with a total depth of 15.8 thousand feet, and put it on production at a rate of production of 5 thousand barrels per day using the facilities available in the region through Ajiba Company, which is the joint company between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and the Italian company ENI and the operations.
